Day 5/6: Disneyland

We were quite late when we reached Disneyland. 1pm to be exact.
This is the shuttle bus we took at Disneyland Hotel to get to Disneyland. Very convenient, just right outside the hotel. The bus interval is every 10 to 15 minutes.
I didn't think very well of the Chinese version of the emergency exit. Reminds me of Door of Hades.
We're finally here!

The Disneyland bus drivers
(I think it's so pretentious to call them 'captains'. I prefer to call a spade a spade.)

Some cute schoolgirls ... at Disneyland???

We first went to Tomorrow Land as Coco already knew which ride she wanted to take.

This is her second time here, so she would know better.

Her fav.

It's always a regret of mine that I'm so timid and unadventurous. I didn't accompany her on the ride as I shudder at the mention of 'roller-coaster'.

A fast-pass machine.

You put your ticket in and out comes another ticket informing you of a range of time you should be back to the ride and you won't have to queue!

Her second fav!

Another fast-pass machine

Basically, you just pick up the toy laser gun and shoot at the 'X' signs to accumulate points

My total points
I'm a Planetary Pilot by this board

We joined in the short queue for a shot with Buzz Lightyear
Then we went to Enchanted Garden to take pictures with the characters there.

It's absolutely free if you get the staff to take them with your own camera!

After that, we went to catch the Parade. It was an essentially water-spraying parade, which explains the few pictures.

Mad hatter's teacups
Then we saw Alice!
We took a cute ride which promised adventures with Pooh - where you see Tigger pouncing on Pooh, your little hunny pot you sit in starts to bump up and down too! How adventurous ...

Then Coco followed me to The Adventure Land reluctantly

We took a raft to Tarzan's Treehouse
It's a story of how he grows up in the jungle and falls in love
The motor-powered raft we took
Night view of the Street
Corner Cafe, where my family dined at
Stitch and his girlfriend, all decked out in flowers and blooms
A magical start to the fireworks
Fireworks start
I learnt one thing that night: fireworks are best taken as video
The crowd taking in the fireworks view
The fountain at the entrance
Disneyland MTR Station

The MTR train with Tinklebell as ornament and Mickey-shaped window
Mickey handgrasps

Even the road has a magical name ie. Magic Road.

The one leading to Disneyland is called Enchanted Path.
We went in Disneyland the second time, Day 6
A flower-covered pavilion
Where you should pay for your professionally taken photos with the characters.

We totally forgot about it in our rush to get back to the hotel!

Popcorn machine
Chocolate popcorn
Her gungho pose
Dumbo ride
Where we had our lunch. Simple yet yummy noodles with chicken.
Cinderella Carousel
The Street
Where we spent a bomb on souvenir

The MTR station is just right outside Disneyland

Coco was my tripod for this shot. Isn't she just brilliant?

One day is certainly not enough to enjoy all the rides and shows at Disneyland. Even when we were there two times, albeit not for long hours, we didn't go for a single show and we didn't manage to catch all the rides.

If you stay at the hotel, you're paying for a 2-day ticket for the cost of 1. So by all means, stay at the hotel to fully enjoy Disneyland!

Disneyland is more for little kids from 5 to 10. A few rides would accomodate the ones as little as 3 though. But I guess for someone as unadventurous as me, Disneyland is sufficient to pique that magical wonder in me.
